Cold drawn low-carbon steel wire
Classification :
PRODUCT DETAILS
Cold drawn low-carbon steel wire is a smooth round steel wire made from hot-rolled low-carbon steel disc bars or smooth round steel bars through cold drawing process. It is mainly used for constructing steel bars and small prestressed concrete components according to the "Technical Specification for Application of Cold drawn Low carbon Steel Wire" JGJ 19-2010. This product is only available in the CDW550 grade, with a diameter range of 3-8mm. When used, the concrete strength grade should not be lower than C20. When used as a hoop reinforcement, the diameter should not be less than 5mm and the spacing should not exceed 200mm. It is divided into two grades according to its purpose: Grade A is used for prestressed concrete components (such as beams and hollow floor slabs), and Grade B is used for welding skeleton or hoop reinforcement. Its production process enhances strength through cold work hardening and optimizes anti-corrosion performance through surface treatments such as galvanizing and nickel plating. In recent years, cold drawn low-carbon steel wire has gradually been applied in scenarios such as purlins and door frames in rural housing components, and has been developed towards lightweight and specialization through improved alloy composition design.
